I need to use User Profiles. How does this affect the cleaning process?
The "User Profiles" warning message in the Options window is harmless and simply indicates the presence of a c:\windows\profiles folder. If you have multiple profiles, you must set up custom folder paths for the contents of that folder, which contains temporary internet files, cookies, history, etc, for each user profile. Each user profile also has its own copy of USER.DAT registry database, which is active throughout that user's logged-on session. Registry cleaning is therefore only effective for the currently logged-on user profile.
Does the Single-User License cover me for more than one installation?
A Single-User License does cover you for more than one installation of Evidence Eliminator as long as only one copy of the software is in use at any one time. You can install the software on more than one PC, notebook or laptop, if you only use one copy of the software at once. Please refer to the License.txt file in the folder where you installed the software for detailed information on the license conditions. Use by multiple simultaneous users, or of more than one copy of the software at any one time, requires a site license.

No, drive life is nothing to worry about nowadays. Please check the web site of your hard drive manufacturer or drive specifications and look for "MTBF" (Mean Time Before Failure). Read: Average estimated drive life. Modern drives have figures of 500,000 hours and above - 50 years or more. The drive will probably be obsolete technology before it wears out years in the future.
Will you support users of Windows Media Player v7 or Real Player v7?
The current release of Evidence Eliminator (v5.52 and above) already does. Windows Media Player support is included for versions up to v7, in the "General" section of "Options". This clears some recent files history and will clear the Playlists and Media Library in Media Player v7. For Real Player v7, use the Real Player v6 plug-in which is still functional on this player.
What does "Eliminating Free Space" mean in the Task Window? Is my free space being removed?
No. You will still have the same amount of free space before and after the process. Only the data contained in the free space is removed, leaving fresh empty space.

What does "1 File Queued" mean? (Win95/98 only)
It means the file cannot be deleted in Windows. It has been added to a queue and, in Safe Shutdown or Safe Restart Mode, it will be deleted at the end of the process in DOS.
Is Evidence Eliminator compatible with "GOBACK" utility?
There is no known conflict but we recommend you switch off GOBACK because it does the opposite job. The cleaning action of Evidence Eliminator can be reversed by GOBACK. GOBACK will still remember history if it is running.
